Alvin Mak
Alvin is a member of the JHU Class of 2023 from Hong Kong and is majoring in International Studies with a minor in Computer Science. This past summer, Alvin was a Growth Marketing and Sales Intern at Finny, a startup dedicated to bringing financial well-being education to the employee benefits space. At Finny, Alvin was responsible for conducting market analysis, which was implemented into the development of a go-to-market strategy aimed at penetrating the HR benefits industry. Previously, he interned at Jumpstart Media in Hong Kong, a magazine company dedicated to covering stories related to the startup ecosystem in Asia. He is interested in FinTech and B2C startups, and enjoys meeting founders and learning about their entrepreneurial stories. On campus, Alvin is the President of Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity, a First Year Mentor and a participant of the WJHU Radio Station. In his free time, he enjoys going go-karting with his friends, cooking, and exploring local restaurants.
