Charlie Almoney
Charlie is a member of the JHU class of 2023 from Dayton, Ohio and is majoring in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Entrepreneurship and Management. This past summer, Charlie was a research intern at the Rare Kidney Disease Registry and Biobank at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. Previously, he spent his summer working at The Entrepreneur Center in Dayton, Ohio. At The Entrepreneur Center Charlie worked as a technology transfer specialist, analyzing military patents from the Air Force Research Laboratory and evaluating their marketability. At JHU, Charlie is an active member of two Biomedical Engineering Design teams, working to engineer solutions to major surgical problems and build companies centered on Breast Cancer Detection and Single Lung Ventilation. Additionally, Charlie is a member of the student led consulting firm, Cobalt Consulting, President of Phi Delta Theta Maryland Delta Chapter, and a member of the JHU club soccer team. Charlie spends his free time playing soccer, poker, and hiking with friends.
