Jemina Auge
Jemina ’23 is majoring in Economics, with minors in Entrepreneurship & Management and Financial Economics. Before coming to Hopkins, she took a gap year in India and volunteered as a teaching assistant with Teach For India. While abroad, she became interested in the South Asian entrepreneurial ecosystem and the potential for ed-tech startups in particular to create lasting impact. During the summer of 2021, Jemina interned at Flooz.link, a passion economy startup building a link-in-bio app for social media creators. Here, while working on go-to-market strategies and product development roadmaps, she gained direct exposure to the inner workings of a high-growth startup in a quickly evolving industry. This experience solidified Jemina’s interest in the VC and startup worlds, most notably because of the combination of critical thinking, problem-solving, and strategy with mission, vision, and creativity. In her free time, Jemina enjoys all things fitness (especially CrossFit and Tae Kwon Do) and podcasts (How I Built This, 20 Minute VC). Her biggest source of inspiration: passionate founders creating meaningful change and pursuing their dreams every day.
