Marc Helou

Marc is a member of the JHU Class of 2023 from White Plains, New York and is majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Entrepreneurship & Management. This past summer, Marc was a Software Engineering intern at PayPal, where he worked on the Payments processing team and built a web app to support his fellow engineers. He also worked as a Product Manager at Venmo Payments, where he launched features that improved the customer experience around transactions within the app. Previously, he worked as a software engineer intern at the NATO Innovation Hub in Norfolk Virginia, where he developed a Google Chrome extension as a proof-of-concept for NATO geomapping specialists. He has built several applications and projects outside of the classroom, and has a passion for fintech solutions that address important customer problems. On campus, Marc is also the Director of HopHacks, Johns Hopkins’ premier hackathon for software engineers and entrepreneurs. In his free time, he loves playing basketball, eating great food, and hiking.
