Sneha Batheja
Sneha Batheja has been exposed to and inspired by the intersection of scientific innovation and business from a young age. With a wide variety of interests, Sneha has diverse experiences in the fashion-tech, transportation-tech, med-tech, and healthcare industries. In the summer of 2015, Sneha traveled to India to intern with a startup called KAARYAH, where she designed a line of clothing that was ultimately featured by Cosmopolitan magazine. Her primary interest, however, is in biotechnology. In 2017, Sneha developed a wearable device at the Rutgers Wireless Networking Laboratory that used cutting edge gesture-recognition technology and biomarker data to aid in smoking cessation. Following her passion for developing disruptive technologies in medicine, Sneha is pursuing a major in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Entrepreneurship and Management at Johns Hopkins University. Currently a member of Biomedical Engineering Design Team Thrombotect, she is building a device to better diagnose Deep Vein Thrombosis. To address the PPE shortage brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, Sneha founded Filtrexa, a company designing 3D-printed respirators to protect frontline healthcare providers. She is concurrently fostering her entrepreneurial interests through her role as a Strategic Advising Lead and Marketing Intern at FastForward U, Johns Hopkins’ startup incubator. Sneha is deeply interested in developing and discovering new disruptive technologies, particularly through her academic pursuits and role as an Associate at A-Level Capital.
