THE ROLE

Corporate Operations Strategy Associate Director

You will report to the VP of Hotel Operations and focus on corporate operations oversight across our growing portfolio as well as enhancing the scalability of our Hotel and F&B operating systems and processes. If you have an analytical background and are a natural problem solver who wants to build something that matters, this role is for you.

The core function of this position is to support the operations and ensure their ongoing performance while identifying opportunities and developing strategies and tools to scale.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Create, evolve, and launch Life House's operational systems & procedures to scale our business quickly and effectively

  • Responsible for identifying and addressing opportunities with hotel and F&B revenue, expenses, staffing levels, guest reviews and implementing critical action plan as needed

  • Work closely with Corporate Hotel and F&B Leaders to be continuously in tune with operational realities and challenges

  • Liaise with other corporate departments at Life House to support the hotel operations (ie. Asset Management, Finance, Product, Revenue Management, Creative, etc.)

  • Ensure Central Support is effectively optimized and runs as an ROI positive operation

  • Develop General Manager structure for reporting performance and operational updates

  • Manage all General Manager communication via slack, email and monthly calls

  • Monitor property controllable expenses to ensure operating performance is in line with budget

  • Conduct ongoing review of current operational procedures and proactively identify systems to continuously enhance operations

  • Ensure company-wide protocols are in place and being followed

  • Manage pre-opening budgets working closely with Hotel and F&B Operations leads

  • Provide operations input into annual property budgets

  • Manage Life House brand standards at our properties

  • Redesign the employee onboarding and training program

  • Develop and launch employee culture and engagement initiatives at our properties

  • Assist VP of Hotel Operations with corporate initiatives and special projects

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • 2-4 years in banking, consulting, business intelligence and/or asset management

  • Experienced in a high-growth, fast-paced, and operationally intensive business with repeatable operational systems

  • Data-driven, ROI focused mentality

  • Proven track record as a problem solver of varied and complex challenges

  • Ability to manage multiple, complex priorities with minimal oversight

  • Strong attention to detail and track record of high quality output

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Comfort with ambiguity and ever evolving business environment

  • Ability to forge strong working relationships across teams and departments

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Experience with G-Suite and its various applications (docs, sheets, calendar, etc.)

  • Familiarity with Asana and Slack (preferred)
