We are looking for an Accountant or a Senior Accountant with experience in SaaS revenue recognition, contract management and general ledger activities. This person’s primary work experiences will be in the commercial sector, not in the Federal contracting or non-profit sectors. We are already highly transaction-driven and use automation and innovation to drive operational efficiencies. This person embraces technology, tools and process to get tasks done accurately and timely. We are a start-up, so this person tolerates an ambiguous environment and views change as opportunity.

Your Primary Responsibilities Will Be

  1. Manage revenue recognition, accounts receivable and collections

  2. Assist with month-end closing and reconciliations

  3. Prepare monthly management reports

  4. Other ad hoc duties as needed

Key Characteristics We Are Looking For

  1. Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles, including ASC 606

  2. Excellent interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills

  3. Impeccable integrity, ethics and confidentiality

  4. Ability to identify and escalate business issues

  5. Practical accounting experience demonstrating increasing responsibility and scope

  6. Advanced or highly proficient Excel user
