We’re looking for a Business Development Associate -- an outreach all-star who knows how to hustle and loves being in front of customers. This person will creatively and persistently engage schools, qualify them, and build relationships with the goal of setting up product demos. They will have autonomy to own their pipeline, identify areas for improvement, and drive improvements across the team.


You will be responsible for:

  • Driving revenue growth within a territory of prospective partner schools

  • Daily outreach via phone, email, LinkedIn, and other communication channels

  • Conducting discovery calls, qualifying leads, and scheduling product demos

  • Working with marketing to draft and send highly tailored communications to prospective schools

  • Identifying ways to improve our product and the value we deliver

  • Executing on a wide range of projects that help grow GiveCampus

  • Contributing to a team culture focused on getting results and overcoming challenges to create sales success

  • Unflappable determination in the face of adversity (you will hear more nos than yesses)

  • Metrics-driven; someone that likes to put up numbers and ‘win the day’

  • A demonstrated record of exceeding targets

  • Meticulous organization skills and the ability to think fast and reprioritize on the fly

  • Passionate about education, technology, and philanthropy

  • An open-minded, engaging personality and a healthy sense of humor (e.g. someone we wouldn’t mind getting stuck in an airport with)


Extra credit if you have:

  • At least one year of professional experience in a top-of-funnel B2B sales role or 2+ years in a B2C environment (some experience using Salesforce or another CRM strongly preferred)

  • Success in selling into the education market

  • Experience in advancement/development or alumni relations at an educational institution or other non-profit

  • Experience at a tech start-up

  • Expertise with crowdfunding, peer-to-peer fundraising, or other fundraising activities

  • Volunteered to help a school raise money or engage its alumni (e.g., as a “class agent”, “class chair/ambassador”, or “reunion committee member”)
